Fall Dinner Alfresco

I can’t get over how nice the weather has been here in the South this fall! I can’t recall wearing a sweater this early in Alabama ever. With the cooler temps, we’ve been taking advantage of spending as much time on the back deck as we can!

Pre-COVID, the pastors’ wives at our church would get together once a month for a little dinner at someone’s house. But since March, that has been put on hold. Finally, after months without gathering, we were able to get together for dinner outside! I jumped at the opportunity to host since we have this great outdoor table.

I wanted it to feel special since it had been months without us gathering around a meal, so I created this simple fall tablescape. I have a couple tablecloths tucked away for special occasions like this and I brought out my cloth napkins out too. There’s something fancy feeling about using real glasses and napkins when eating alfresco!

For the centerpiece, I added in some plants, pumpkins, and LED string lights. I can’t get enough of these lights! I’ve been using them everywhere. Stringing them in between the pumpkins created such a warm, inviting tablescape!

Having staples like a wine chiller, simple wine glasses, and napkin rings that you can bring outside takes your dinner from a picnic to an elegant alfresco dinner!

I hope this post inspires you to get outside and have yourself a nice fall dinner! As always, Thanks for reading friends!
