Lego Party

We added another party to the books for the Montgomery boys this month! Cedar turned 6 and of course wanted a Lego party.

In really do enjoy doing all the party prep but Cedar’s birthday being right after Christmas can feel a bit overwhelming. So I tried my absolute best to keep the party cute but simple this year!

I cut out these lego heads with my Cricut and glued them to wooden dowels to make masks for the kiddos. They were easy, inexpensive, and added a lot to the party decor! I have attached the image that I used at the end of this post if you want to download as a PNG file and transfer to your cricut. Just don’t ask me the details on how to do this … I had to YouTube it like 10 times!

The base is a foam block that I wrapped in tissue paper.

I also used the Cricut to cut out this lego man face onto black vinyl for the punch container. So easy! Punch recipe is at the bottom too!

I ordered block candy to fill 10 Cellophane bags with for the party favor! I made the little “We were built to be friends” tags using an app on my phone and printed on white card stock.

These drink cups were a Dollar Tree find along with some of the other decor. But I found that amazon sells the exact ones here! Score!

I used the same Lego man head image that I used for the masks to cut these little straw toppers. I just cut 2 little slits in the top and bottom with a razor blade to slide the straws through.

My sister in law is the cake decorating queen! She has made so many memorable and amazing cakes for us over the years including this one! I know that she used store-bought cookie icing to achieve the dripping paint look. She let Cedar pick out his favorite Lego figurines to hold the 6 skinny candles. It was perfect!

The kids had fun demolishing a home made (Pinterest fail) piñata that I made. Even though it wasn’t pretty, I’m still glad I saved $40 doing a DIY one because the kids just care what’s inside anyway!

We loved celebrating our big boy this year! Thanks for checking out this post! You can see photos from Smith’s “Wild One” party here and his “Two Fast” party here!
